Retention Coaching
A Retention Coach™ is an independent, third-party specialist who steps in when a once-strong employee begins to struggle and traditional approaches are not working. Unlike supervisors or HR—who employees often shut down with— we provide a confidential, unbiased intervention that gets to the root of the performance or behavioral issue, whether it’s stress, burnout, a skills gap, workplace conflict, or a personal or mental-health challenge. We work one-on-one with the employee over 8–12 weeks, develop a structured “Reset Plan,” coach them back to acceptable performance, and support managers on how to reinforce expectations. The goal is simple: retain valuable employees before they’re lost, reduce turnover costs, stabilize team morale, and give the organization documented due diligence before any difficult decision. It’s a high-touch, high-impact service designed to save the people you can’t afford to lose.
“Performance Improvement Plans are often introduced too late, delivered without the tools needed to change behavior, and perceived by employees as a precursor to termination. While PIPs have a place, organizations need a more effective, human-centered intervention before performance issues reach that point.””
Recovery Coaching for Men
Our Men’s Recovery Coaching Program is called “Legacy”. We chose the name Legacy because every man leaves something behind — whether he intends to or not. Legacy is not about money, status, or reputation. It’s about the impact you have on your children, your partner, your community, and the men watching you. Recovery is not just about staying sober or managing mental health. It’s about deciding what kind of man you are becoming — and what story your life will tell long after you’re gone.
Legacy asks a simple question:
When your name is spoken in a room you’re not in, what will be said?
This program is about building that answer on purpose.
Men do not always fall apart loudly. More often, they shut down. They withdraw. They work harder. They drink more. They gamble quietly. They push through anxiety, depression, trauma, or burnout until something breaks. Recovery Coaching for Men is built for that reality. This is not traditional therapy. It is not a lecture. And it is not a rescue mission. It is structured, strategic, and practical support designed specifically for men navigating substance use challenges, mental health struggles, or both.
Healthy men expressing positive masculine ideals can build careers and families. But when substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, or compulsive behaviors enter the picture, those same traits can turn inward.
Isolation grows.
Shame deepens.
Performance drops.
Relationships strain.
Recovery Coaching meets men where they are — without pathologizing masculinity and without stripping away identity. We work with strength, not against it. We encourage you to spend some time watching the videos on our social media platforms and read articles we’ve written to understand our approach and philosophy. Bombarding you with paragraphs of text here is probably not what you are looking for or need.
We have a limit on the number of men we work with in the 1:1 Model.
Right now we have 2 open slots. Updated as of March 1, 2026
“Recovery is not just about stopping destructive behavior. It is about building something that lasts.
Legacy is the decision to live in a way that your family, your work, and your community are stronger because you were here.”

Legacy is a structured six-session coaching experience for men who are ready to rebuild direction, discipline, and identity. This program goes beyond sobriety or symptom management and focuses on the kind of man you are becoming. We begin with your full personal history and psychological wiring, then move into structured conversations about responsibility, relationships, purpose, and emotional strength. Legacy is direct, confidential, and action-oriented — not therapy, not motivational talk. You will leave each session with clarity and concrete steps. The work is honest and demanding, but steady and grounded. If you are ready to stop drifting and start building something that lasts, Legacy is where that begins.
There used to be a place in the backyard where men built things.
A shed.
A garage.
A workbench with tools and a radio.
Men didn’t go there for therapy.
They went there for purpose.
They worked shoulder-to-shoulder. Fixed what was broken. Built what mattered. And in the process, something else happened — clarity, connection, steadiness.
The Shed brings that model back — online.

How We Work
Each session follows a simple framework:
Direct teaching or framing (10–15 minutes)
Guided discussion and challenge
Practical commitments before we close
We work shoulder-to-shoulder — even on Zoom.
You don’t need to overshare.
You don’t need to posture.
You show up. You engage. You build.
Who It’s For
Men in recovery rebuilding identity
Husbands and fathers who want to lead well
Professionals who look successful but feel stalled
Men tired of carrying everything alone
The global Men's Shed movement proved something simple: when men gather around shared purpose, isolation drops and health improves.
The Shed is that principle — adapted for the modern world.
Two meetings.
$29 a month.
Real conversation.
Real accountability.
The backyard shed may be gone.
The need isn’t.
Once you complete your purchase, you’ll be emailed a Zoom link that will be your monthly link to connect. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday of each month.

The Laws That Taught Leaders to Fear Ambiguity
A Chapter from The Vanishing Employee
Modern workplaces didn’t become defensive by accident.
They were trained to be.
In this powerful standalone chapter from The Vanishing Employee, Jeff Wolfsberg examines the legal, cultural, and structural forces that transformed American leadership from development-focused to liability-focused.
From the Civil Rights Act of 1991 to landmark Supreme Court decisions on employer liability, from whistleblower protections to the explosion of compliance training, Wolfsberg reveals how rational legal incentives reshaped managerial behavior—often in ways no one intended.
The result?
Managers speak carefully.
Conversations become procedural.
Documentation replaces dialogue.
And strong employees quietly disengage.
This chapter does not argue against civil rights protections or workplace safeguards. It explains how decades of risk mitigation architecture subtly altered leadership posture—and why that shift is costing organizations their best people.
Inside you’ll discover:
How “defensibility” became the primary management lens
Why performance interventions now trigger threat responses
The hidden psychological consequences of compliance culture
Why documentation-heavy systems often erode trust
What leaders must understand before they can rebuild engagement
If you are a CEO, HR executive, manager, consultant, or organizational strategist, this chapter will challenge the way you think about performance management and retention.
The best employees rarely explode.
They disappear.
Understanding why is the first step to bringing them back.
